Skinner 525C

Benefits

  • Straightens fillets before skinning
  • Feedable directly from a filleting machine
  • Adjustable for variable fat thickness during deep skinning
  • Minimal yield loss and maximal product quality

Overview

The Skaginn Skinner 525C is a versatile and efficient skinning machine suitable for all types of fish. The skinner uses a unique pantent pending technology to achieve optmial product quality. Fillets are straightened before skinning and then supported by the Hold-Down Belt which minimizes damage. The Skinner can be placed directly into the process line without the need for fillets being hand-placed onto the infeeding conveyor. The skinner can used for both conventional or deep skinning.

Straight fillets

Fillets can be placed unevenly onto the infeeding conveyor as the large drum pulls them from the infeeding conveyor and straightens them out before skinning. Stretched out fillets result in lower yield loss during skinning as well as preventing damage to fillets.

In-Line

Since fillets can be placed unevenly onto the infeeding conveyor the skinner can be placed directly into the process line and can thus, for example, be fed directly from a filleting machine. This increases efficiency and frees up workers which makes the skinner ideal onboard fishing vessels where manpower is limited.

Quality

The Skinner 525C is designed for gentle handling of fillets resulting in optimal product quality. Damage to fillets is minimized during skinning as well as yield loss due to the unique Hold-Down technique.
