Fluid Ice System

Benefits

  • Three mixtures of Fluic Ice possible simultaneously
  • Fresh water Fluid Ice possible without any salt content
  • Optimal for product storage without freezing
  • Improves RSW systems for rapid cooling

Overview

The Skaginn Fluid Ice system is the most flexible on the market. The system can make three different mixtures simultaneously with temperatures ranging from -15°C (5°F) to 0°C (32°F) and Fluid Ice thickness adjustable up to 50%. The system can be fitted to traditional RSW systems onboard fishing vessels to provide rapid catch cooling which is vital to preserving quality.

  • Capacity is shown for a Fluid Ice mixture at 30% ice content made from water at +5°C.
  • Power consumption shown for FIS 110, FIS 120 and FIS 130 includes the optional refrigeration system, excluding the refrigeration system the models require 15 kW each.
  • Ice Source can either be external or internal, i.e. ice is made by the machine or it is fed by an external ice source. Models requiring an external ice source do not include a refrigeration system.
  • All models require a power supply of 3 x 380 / 460 V @ 50 - 60 Hz

Flexibility

The Skaginn Fluid Ice System is the most flexible one available on the market. The system can produce three different mixtures simultaneously and deliver them to separate storage tanks. The system is both capable of producing Fluid Ice from salt water or fresh water for situations where salt water is forbidden, for example in poultry production. Fluid Ice thickness can be adusted to up to 50% (fresh water Fluid Ice up to 20%) at temperatures ranging from -15°C up to 0°C, controlled by salinity.

Improves RSW systems

The system can be added to conventional RSW systems for rapid cooling. The system creates a 5-10% Fluid Ice mixture, from the refrigerated seawater, with tiny ice crystals that significantly decreases the time required to cool down the catch.
