Overview

Skaginn IQF freezers are ideal for freezing products where yield, quality and shape are a concern. The SF3 line is specially designed to handle large, slowly frozen product without requiring massive floorspace.

Explanation of the model code (example: SF3/S T2000):

3 standard models:

Level Based Processing

Skaginn's patented level based processing technology significantly reduces the required floorspace without sacrificing capacity. Each level of the freezer is loaded and unloaded simultaneously resulting in a seamless flow of product in and out of the freezer.

TCAD Belt

Each level of the SF3 is equipped with a Skaginn patented Teflon Coated Aluminum Droplet (TCAD) belt which increases capacity because of the excellent thermal conductivity of the Teflon coated aluminum. The unique shape of the droplets forms a smooth, flat surface on the product facing side of the belt while on the return side the droplets hang down and swiftly release their stored thermal energy into the air which is then carried away by the freezer's air-blast. The aluminum droplets act like thermal batteries by getting thermally charged while in contact with product and then discharged on the return side.

Overnight Storage

Due to a a set of systems the freezer can be run for a week without complete defrosting. At the end of the day the freezer can be set into overnight storage mode keeping product still left on its conveyors safely frozen. This eliminates numerous costs such as working hours spent cleaningm starting up and powering down freezers, cost of cleaning materials, energy and working hours required for daily freezer startup.
