Overview
The Skaginn Automatic Box Freezer is a more efficient, cost saving alternative to the conventional method of blast freezing delicate packed product. Using Skaginn's non-pressure freezing technology product quality is equal to that of blast freezing while requiring approximately third the freezing time. The freezer can be placed as an integrated part of a processing line which can therefore be fully automatic from packaging to palletizing. This eliminates several labor and time intensive tasks such as loading and unloading freezing racks and operating forklifts. The Automatic Box Freezer requires far less energy than blast freezing with savings of up to 90 kWh/ton of frozen product.

Non-Pressure Freezing
Skaginn's patent pending non-pressure freezing technology lets box-packed product expand while freezing without applying pressure on it. This ensures optimal product quality equal to that of blast freezing.
Fully automatic
Unlike blast freezers, the Skaginn Automatic Box Freezer is fully automatic and can be placed as an integrated part of the processing line. This reduces the required labor force and minimizes product handling as there is no need to load and move freezing racks. This makes the Skaginn Automatic Box Freezer a more efficient freezing method than blast freezing.
Capacity
The Skaginn Automatic Box Freezer has a capacity of up to 40 tons per day. Product can be fully frozen in 6-7 hours which is approximately 3 times faster than blast freezing.
