Contracts have been signed between Skaginn and HB-Grandi regarding further equipment development in HB-Grandi's pelagic fish processing plant in Vopnafjörður, Iceland. Skaginn will be upgrading equipment used for freezing mackerel which will increase automation during packaging and palletization as well as a new FIS-130 Fluid Ice system. The plant already has a similar system in place that has been used with good results. Skaginn has over the past years cooperated with HB-Grandi on the development of the pelagic fish processing plant in Vopnafjörður.
